toowong is a mature and faithful congregation, with a real heart for helping young adults grow in faith and become closer to God. While sunday morning worship is quite traditional, Sunday night worship is interactive and provides a great opportunity for young adults to explore faith. It's usually a bit alternative - meeting in local coffee shops, someone's house, a park - even the church building. But we always meet at the church first, so that's where you will find us.
There are various activities and groups connecting young adults in community. Tuesday night "soul food" gatherings are very informal times of faith/spirituality exploration, discussion, and hanging out. This is designed to be a safe place for churched and non-churched people to ask questions, learn form each other, be open to new viewpoints, express doubts and convictions... it's for people who are spiritual searchers. On Wednesday night there is a Bible study group for growth as Christian disciples.
Social stuff happens spontaneously and frequently.
