emmanuel
Emmanuel is the senior residential college of UQ. The college both inherited, and is shaping, a tradition of providing both accommodation and care for university students together with opportunities for students to gain a wider and informal liberal education through college activities and living.
Emmanuel offers tuition and opportunities for personal growth through extension activities and by stimulating discussion and interest in matters beyond strictly discipline based studies, in what is known as liberal education. In addition to informal gatherings with friends, endless cups of coffee or outings to the cinema, there are many opportunities to mix and enjoy social gatherings at special events in college.
Emmanuel has facilities for many recreational and cultural activities. Our chapel is not only the largest on campus, its windows are a special feature of beauty and interest.
